KBC 13 contestant gifts book to Aaradhya, Amitabh Bachchan says ‘she’ll be very happy’
Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 host Amitabh Bachchan accepted a gift from a contestant on behalf of his granddaughter Aaradhya. Amitabh hosted young contestant Varnika Kothari on Tuesday’s episode. KBC 13 is currently having a Students’ Special Week.
Varnika, who said she’s an author, took out a copy of her science fiction book named Claira Jackson and handed it over to Amitabh as a present for Aaradhya. Last month, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai celebrated their daughter Aaradhya’s 10th birthday in the Maldives.
Amitabh, who was moved by Varnika’s gesture, told her that he will pass on the book to Aaradhya: “Mein unhe dunga… wo bahut khush hongi (I will give this to her. She will be very happy).”
On KBC 13, Varnika revealed that she has received the title of the ‘World’s Youngest Science Fiction Author’ for her works on sci-fi, which she published herself. She also took out a copy of her book and got it signed by Amitabh.
This Friday, KBC will air a special episode, which will mark the 1,000th episode of the show. Amitabh will be joined by daughter Shweta Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda on the hot seats. Jaya Bachchan will also briefly join in via a video call.
A hilarious promo for the upcoming episode has been shared by Sony Entertainment Television, which shows Jaya complaining about Amitabh not taking her calls while he makes excuses about poor connectivity.
“Internet agar gadbad hai toh hum kya kare bhai (What can I do if the internet fluctuates)?” Amitabh says. He is soon called out by Shweta, who says he is always busy being on the Internet: “Social media pe photo lagayenge, tweet karenge (He will share photos on social media, tweet from his account).”
