VijenderVijender Singh Beniwal, does the name ring a bell? Or rather, punch you in your head. Yes! He is our boxer who fetched us a bronze from the Olympics ring. His laurels don't seize at that. This small town lad with his big dreams and chocolate looks has become a new face of Siyaram along with Indian cricket captain M S Dhoni.

How are you feeling after being recognized as a style icon and joining M S Dhoni as a new face of Siyaram?
Obviously, it is a very good feeling. I am very delighted to be part of brand that enjoys credibility and has such big giants who have achieved success and made India proud.

What do you want to say about boxing being compared with cricket and has attained a level with it?
You can say that after Beijing boxing has got a kick and reached that pinnacle of being compared with cricket. Cricket a long time, now boxing is also taking its place. The time has come that boxers can stand with cricketers. But if a few more people joined the league of boxing, then it would better for the sport.

Do you want to say that your chocolate looks and modeling background has helped you?
No, it's not like that. Even Dinesh, Akhil have done photo shoots and modeling but yes, they don't have such brands and you can say that Chadhte Suraj ko sub salam karte hain. I have an Olympic medal and luck is favoring me that's why I am here.

Do you envy cricket for all the attention it receives when other sports like football, tennis, badminton, shooting etc are lagging behind?
Not at all. The cricket world cup 1983 made the game popular. But now the scene is changing. The latest win in boxing is brining the sport into limelight and so it is with other sports.

What would you like to do for upcoming boxers?
I want to open a boxing academy. As there are many players, who have talent but because of some limitations they are not able to make to the league. With some funding I hope to do it.

Everybody from film fraternity to political biggies are tweeting, why aren't you?
I am very much on Facebook. Tweeting, not right now.

You are getting so many offers from Bollywood aren't you interested?
No, I am not. I want to concentrate on my boxing career. My first priority is boxing rest of the things later on.

Are you dating someone?
No, I am not. The hunt for a nice girl is on.

What about marriage plans?
Main Salman Khan ke bad marriage karunga. (I will marry after Salman Khan)
