“We met only five months ago”

Nandita Das’ wedding with environment entrepreneur, Subodh Maskara, happened quite suddenly last Saturday, at his Mumbai home. She says, “It was meant to be a surprise. Even my friends were quite taken aback. It has just been five months since we met, but it feels like we have known each other for ages.”

The actress has finally given in to the lure of Mumbai, after resisting it for long. From Delhi, the actress-filmmaker has shifted base to the glamour capital of the country following her marriage with Maskara.

Missing hometown
The actress is looking to explore Mumbai now, though she is still missing the capital. “I am missing the Delhi winter and the fog — sitting on my terrace where I have so many plants, and sipping hot tea or soup. This could have been the best time to be in Delhi, there are so many cultural activities and theatre happening. I am usually traveling so when I am in Delhi, I prefer being at home and having ghar ka khana. The city gives you lot of space and has character with all the trees and monuments. The people are quite aggressive, so I wish that could change.”
