Why is Ash pissed off?

on Thursday night, Ash looked visibly grumpy, the culprit being a sudden appearance of her ex beau, Vivek Oberoi, at the venue. There was a flurry of shutterbugs as Vivek, clad in a black

, made a surprise entry 30 minutes after the entire Bachchan clan arrived.

The organisers had to scurry around, looking for a way to ensure that Ash and Vivek don’t bump into each other. So Oberoi was made to sit in a different auditorium from the one that seated the Bachchans. When Vivek happened to step out of the audi midway for a loo break, there was a virtual stampede of mediapersons, waiting to ask him how he turned up. All that Vivek chose to say was, “The movie is still on. Mr Bachchan is fantastic,” before hurriedly rushing back inside.

Aishwarya, however, did little to hide her displeasure. She was seen whispering fervently in husband Abhishek’s ear. While he stood quietly, she asked loudly, “Who is leading us upstairs, are you taking us?” and dragged Abhishek by the hand, walking in haste towards the audi, before the film started.

Even after the film got over, Abhishek had to make an effort to persuade her to mingle with the guests, as she seemed too willing to walk away, with mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan in tow. Abhishek politely said ‘Baby?’, before holding her from the shoulders and turning her to speak to director Ram Gopal Varma.

While everyone speculated how Vivek landed up at the event and who had invited him, Varma tried to save the situation by saying that the whole of Bollywood was invited. “I think Vivek is here,” he said, “The invites have gone from the producers.” The producers, however, refused to comment on Vivek’s appearance.
