Hollywood is witnessing a new trend of setting up snoratoriums in the homes to enable spouses of snorers to get a good night sleep.Following suit, 49-year-old snorer Tom Cruise has converted one of his guest bedrooms into a sound proof refuge, so that wife Katie Holmes can get a sound sleep.

The snoratorium in Cruise’s 20 million pounds Hollywood home is towards the back of the property, close to the bedroom he normally shares with wife Holmes, 32 and their five-year-old daughter Suri.

"Whoever uses the snoring room cannot be heard outside the locked door. It’s very small, comfortable and dark, maybe a former nursery," the Daily Mail quoted a visitor as saying. It was reported that shortly after their marriage, Holmes stopped sleeping in the same room as Cruise because of his snoring.

Snoratoriums are proving popular among ageing action heroes who are now in or reaching their 40s. Henceforth, rather than be relegated to the sofa, celebrities are creating padded and atmospherically controlled rooms where they can snore away undisturbed.
