It’s been almost a week since the big fat Will-Kat wedding, but that hasn’t deterred to-be brides and grooms back home from picking up what was hot on the royal block. Pendants, mugs, coins and even flags with pictures of the newlyweds, styled in the same way as the royal couple’s memorabilia, are the latest return gifts doing the rounds at marriages.

“Wedding memorabilia has never been so popular before. From wine goblets to crystal key rings, clients now want all keepsakes to have their names and even pictures on it, thanks to the trend set by William and Kate’s wedding," says Swati Chiripal, Sanskriti Wedding Planners. Anuradha Chabra of Jewels by Anu shares, “I recently got an order for 50 gold pendants to be given away at an industrialist’s wedding. These had the bride and groom’s picture, styled royally.”
Other personalised weddding souvenirs that have suddenly turned hot stuff are jewel boxes, dolls, mugs, tableware, silk scarves and chocolate coins. “Orders for customised mugs have suddenly shot up,” says Nimish Sachdeva of DNA events.
