The Ladakh Winter Sport Club in Leh is organising Winter Tourism Promotion Cup from January 23 to 26, with sports such as ice hockey and ice skating.

Some 70 Canadian players are also expected to take part this year. The history of ice hockey in Ladakh dates back to the early 70s, when the Ladakh Scouts Battalion of the Indian army started playing the game.
