This is one fight that's showing no signs of reaching a settlement any time soon.

After Mumbai photographers threatened to boycott him, the irrepressible Salman Khan has taken the battle to the rival camp, saying "nobody can ban" him, adding that photographers "should not be under any misconception that stars exist" only because of them.

"You come here, tell me you get Rs 150/200 for one picture and I do my job -- I pose for you guys and you take my pictures. It's the age of social media, there's no way that you can ban me. It's your choice to not to take my pictures. I will be happy if the whole fraternity decides we will not take nor publish his pictures," the Dabangg star said.

The Bollywood actor added, "Right or wrong, they have taken a stand and you take a stand where you face losses. Shayad mera bhi nuksaan ho, lekin unka to definitely hoga."

Relations between Salman Khan and Mumbai's film photographers reached a flashpoint last week when the Khan turned turned down a request from the photographers to pose at a particular spot during a promotional event for his next film Kick. Speaking at a promotional event for Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut Kick, Salman said, "Why should I step in? It was between Royalty bodyguards and press photographers. But I did step in. I said 'jisko rehna hai raho, jisko jana hai jao. But that's all, I can't do anymore."
