Taking cue from Bollywood and the ramp, get ready to rock the retro trend this season in midis and polka prints.

Taking the middle-path is something we all love doing, and it seems like fashion also taken a cue from this balancing style act. Following this trend, Midis from the 80’s fashion circuit has made a welcome return.

Falling in between floor-sweeping maxis and above-the-knee minis, they are a perfect add to your style. “Midi skirts are making a comeback. It’s a comfortable and convenient trend for those who don’t feel comfortable going too short. Moreover, midi skirts can be worn by all body types,” says designer Anupama Dayal.

Midis work across occasions. From date nights to brunch with the ladies, the look is a clear winner. “To add a romantic feel, we add frills and slits in the skirts. Midis can be worn with a crop top and basic shirts. One can also add belts to highlight the waist,” adds designer Hemant Lalwani of designer duo Hemant-Nandita.
