Here’s a look at some of the most debonair film-makers and directors for this year’s Hindustan Times Most Stylish Awards.

Imtiaz Ali

The director, who is known for his contemporary, relatable and seamless narratives, has an easy-going sense of style. Often dressed in casual shirts, T-shirts, and jeans, Imtiaz exhibits a relaxed and fuss-free look. He is certainly one of the most likeable film-makers of the current time, given his popularity among the youth.

Gauri Shinde

Gauri has carved a niche for herself in the industry in a short span of time. With her two successful directorial ventures, she has managed to strike the right balance between commercial and parallel cinema. Her movies have not only been entertaining, they have also carried strong and thought-provoking messages. Gauri has an innate sense of style, and is usually seen sporting white or solid-coloured tunics, tops and kurtas, skirts and long maxis, along with minimal accessories or statement jewellery.

Ayan Mukerji

Ayan has directed two films so far, and both have been quite successful at the box office. The director has a successful track record, and is one of the favourites among younger audiences. Just like his choice of films, Ayan prefers keeping his style quotient casual, young and fresh. The director, popular for his boy-next-door look, is now working on his next project, which is a superhero film.

Kabir Khan

Kabir Khan has managed to garner appreciation from audiences from across the country for most of his projects. In a decade-long career, Kabir has been able to prove his mettle as a film-maker. In the style department too, the director is famous for his understated yet dapper sense of style. He never disappoints with his red-carpet looks and is always impeccably turned up.

Zoya Akhtar

Zoya has left an impact on cinemagoers with her distinctive style of film-making. As for her fashion sensibilities, the director pulls off all her looks with panache. She is often spotted in a variety of outfits such as skirts and tops, denim ensembles and dresses. Zoya also has a penchant for bold lip colours, and she carries her look off with grace and style.
