At the country’s first ever kid’s fashion week that took place in Mumbai from January 17 to 19, over 200 tiny tots cheerfully graced the runway, while some celeb parents were seen giving company to their little ones. Seen on the ramp were kids aged between five to 15.

The event that showcased 20 kids’ brands and designers, saw reputed names including designer Narendra Kumar, Nishka Lulla, Rocky S, Malini Ramani, Gaurav and Ritika, Nandita Basu and Payal Singhal display their collections. Singhal showcased kids’ ethnicwear such as sherwani and dhoti.

While designer Nishka Lulla had Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen walking the ramp with her two little daughters, ex VJ Maria Goretti too took to the ramp with her kids. Actor-filmmaker Sohail Khan was also seen with his kids, apart from actor Genelia D’Souza, who made an appearance on the ramp.

The designers maintained that all their collections were suited for the kids neither skimpy nor overtly fashionable. Popular kids’ brands such as Hot Wheels, Barbie, Lil Kangaroos and Coochie Coo too showcased their range.

The clothes on the runway comprised of colourful flapper skirts for little girls along with party frocks in frills and candy hues.
