Apicture-perfect wedding is incomplete without the trendiest clothes, jewellery, gifts, etc. Wedding exhibitions have become popular over the years as they bring all necessities under one roof. Come July and a spate of such exhibitions will begin that will go on till the year end.
The first to hit town will be ‘Bride and Groom’, from July 3-5 at Hotel Ashok. “Nearer to the wedding season, there’ll be Commonwealth games and related issues to deal with. So, we decided to hold our exhibition at this time,” says Kiran Sharma of Bride and Groom exhibition. The show will feature designers such as Lecoanet Hemant, Niki Mahajan and Nikhita Tandon among its 110 exhibitors.
More follow with ‘Vivaha’ from August 6-7 at Hotel Ashok, and ‘Bridal Asia’ from September 11-13 at the same venue. ‘Ultimate Luxury’ and ‘Wedding Expo’ will also take place nearer to the Commonwealth Games.
“Over the years, there’re many who started with us and have now become brands. We encourage young talent,” says Ratika Sethi, of Vivaha exhibition. “We have at least 15 new designers on the list with recognisable names such as Rina Dhaka, Siddhartha Tytler and Anupama Dayal. There are varying price points to cater to all segments. From ready-to-wear to cocktail wear, silverware to diamond jewellery, bags and shoes to honeymoon packages, there is something for everyone,” says Divya Gurware of Bridal Asia.
