Only Aishwarya Rai can make an understated white salwar suit sexy and flirty. See pics
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan went traditional with her outfit, but turned it sexy and flirty with her styling and attitude. Along the way, she also proved beachy waves work just as well in humid June.fashion and trends Updated: Jun 14, 2018 15:44 IST
The last time actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore a white ethnic Indian ensemble — a shimmery Manish Malhotra lehenga — she reminded us of an elegant princess making her way to actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli’s wedding reception in December 2017.
But at the screening of documentary film, Filmisthaan, on Tuesday in Mumbai, Aishwarya slipped into something sexier. Just when you thought Aishwarya couldn’t possibly top all the traditional Indian outfits she’s rocked in the past few months, prepare to be wowed. She dressed in a super classy ivory salwar-kameez set from fashion label, House of Qidwa. Paired with comfy beaded juttis from Tradition Meets Trends the woman looked like a total showstopper.
Take a look:
Leave it to Aishwarya to give us the perfect beaded, embellished, day-appropriate festive look. But what made her traditional ensemble even more special (apart from the fact that it’s super elegant) was Aishwarya’s non-traditional styling. That’s right. At first, the suit — while gorgeous — looked simple. It is head-to-toe white and quite modest. But, look closely, because there are ton of details you might not notice right off the bat.
Like, check out Aishwarya’s playful beauty look: She styled her bespoke low-key ivory outfit with neutral-toned, glittery make-up, glamorous smoky eye, messy beach waves, a glossy nude lip, and minimal jewellery. That boho, rustic vibe definitely suits her.
Aishwarya always looks striking. Whether she’s wearing something simple or over-the-top (have you seen her Cannes Film Festival red carpet gowns?), the actor always injects her looks with a bit of personality. In this specific case, while we love the angelic white salwar-kameez, what we are really eyeing is Aishwarya’s messy, carefree, curly hair.
We love that Aishwarya made a case for beach hair inspiring us to wear this hairstyle anywhere, even if we’re nowhere near the sea, and with anything, including a white salwar-kameez.
