Bollywood actor and fashionista Sonam Kapoor has managed to send her online fanbase into a frenzy with her stunning photoshoot for a leading fashion magazine.

For her latest photoshoot for Vogue India, the 32-year-old beauty posed in a series of artistic images emulating iconic actors Marlene Dietrich and Madhubala, as well as Dutch exotic dancer Mata Hari and famous Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.

Indeed, the internet went crazy for the images, racking up innumerable Instagram likes and comments like, “Gorgeous!!!” and “Stunning”.

The Neerja actor channelled one of Bollywood’s biggest style icon, the late Madhubala, in a blush pink Ritu Kumar sari and looked every inch the diva in her glamorous photoshoot. Her stylist Ria Kamat’s use of Kundan jewellery and make-up artist Elton J Fernandez’s coy smoky eyes and pink tinted lips took Sonam’s graceful and mesmerising look a notch higher.

There was nothing inane about Sonam’s ‘Mad Hatter-esque’ look as German actor and singer Marlene Dietrich. Looking simply sensational, Sonam wore a pale face with skinny eyebrows and ruby lips, with hairstylist Yianni Tsapatori elevating her look with characteristic finger curls.

As fashion icon Frida Kahlo, Sonam stunned in a signature floral crown and block print lehenga by Raw Mango, complete with braided hair and metal jewellery. Fernandez wowed yet again, this time recreating the classic Kahlo unibrow. Nothing short of respect for him.

Sonam was breathtaking as Mata Hari in sultrily draped plain Anavila sari and a glitzy blouse by Manav Gangwani. The Aisha actor’s look was aesthetically and conceptually brillianr with earrings, arm bracelets and a maang tikka by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas and Fernandez’s dewy make-up.
