A desi fashion week is as much about style as about the Bollywood stars who turn up as showstoppers. As the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week begins in the city today, participating designers are set to line up the stars, yet again.

While designer Rocky S is getting Bipasha Basu and Madhavan to walk the ramp on Saturday, debutant designer Sakshee Pradhan, who will showcase her collection on Sunday, will have Rockstar heroine Nargis Fakhri as the showstopper. “Nargis has walked international ramps and has the perfect body,” says Pradhan.

Another debutant designer, Kanika Saluja, who shows on Thursday, will have actor Chitrangda Singh walk the ramp for her. “As a showstopper, the focus is on you. I enjoy the thrill,” says Singh. Designer Reynu Taandon, showing on Sunday, will have actor Govinda walk the ramp with his daughter Narmmadaa. “Govinda is very choosy and doesn’t walk the ramp often, so it’s a great honour,” says Taandon.
