Jerry Mawihmingthanga scored in the first minute of the game itself to put the home side ahead. From there on the away side were on the back foot and the lead was doubled by Ashim Biswas in the 31st minute. The Blasters fought hard to get back into the game but could only score a consolation goal in the dying moments of the game when Mark Sifneos headed home from close range.
