All localities in new Huda sectors to get bulk power connections
All upcoming gated colonies in new Huda sectors will now have single-point or bulk electricity connections.
All upcoming gated colonies in new Huda sectors will now have single-point or bulk electricity connections.

Under the single-point connection system, only one connection will be given to a housing complex having residential flats.
At present, a few gated condominium localities in the city have single-point connections.
The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) has directed the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) to implement the scheme at the earliest.
"We have not yet implemented the new order. But we'll do it shortly," said Sanjiv Chopra, superintending engineer (SE), DHBVN, Gurgaon circle.
All gated localities coming up in the new sectors (58-115), to be developed by private builders will have to apply through the Residents' Welfare Associations (RWAs) for bulk electricity supply connections.
The SE said the maintenance of electricity wires, meters etc will be the responsibility of the RWA concerned.
Chopra further said the new order would be subject to choice for the existing gated localities and associations to switch over from individual to a single-point connection.
"It will be up to individual consumers and the association concerned to go for a single-point electricity supply. The order does not apply on the existing gated localities from Sectors 1 to 57," said the DHBVN official.
