The unidentified person who opened fire is said to be a friend of a bouncer working at a pub in Sahara Mall.

HT team visited the spot on Saturday and found a bullet mark on the third floor of the mall.

“We heard a loud noise and saw that a brawl had taken place between some people. The man who opened fire is a friend of a bouncer working at Sahara Mall. He had an argument with someone and went to the stairway with other people and opened fire,” said an eyewitness on the condition of anonymity.

However, the police have denied any such incident and not registered an FIR in this regard.

“It is a rumour. We received information about the incident and our team reached the spot within five minutes,” said a police official.
