Police commissioner Alok Mittal awarded commendation certificates to inspector Suresh Kumar, inspector Sudhir Kumar and head constable Pankaj Kumar (all from Gurgaon’s cyber crime cell) for speedy disposal of a complaint, wherein a girl was receiving obscene mails from an accused.

Inspector Naresh Kumar and inspector Satyadev were also honoured for rescuing a man from committing suicide. The two officers were awarded R1,000 each and commendation certificates.

Three other officers — ASI Arvind Kumar, head constable Mangal Sain and rider Telu Ram — were honoured for effectively dealing with accidental situations wherein they managed to nab the accused as well as rush the victims to the nearby hospitals. Each official was awarded R600.

“The officials have been honoured for depicting bravery in resolving tough situations. The award is an encouragement for officials to continue displaying such dedication,” said Mittal.

The Gurgaon police were also successful in solving a kidnapping case which took place in Eldeco mansion, Sector 48, wherein the accused was nabbed within two hours of the incident.
