Gurgaon: Suncity residents allege Huda engineer diverting water to pvt school
Residents of Suncity in Sector 54 on Tuesday accused an executive engineer of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) of providing an illegal water connection
Residents of Suncity in Sector 54 on Tuesday accused an executive engineer of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) of providing an illegal water connection to a private school and demanded action against him.

They said their supply has been affected due to the water being diverted.
VMK Singh, general secretary of the Suncity residents’ welfare association (RWA), said, “A senior Huda official illegally connected a new pipe line to master water line outside the locality. The illegal connection has affected our water supply. We have lodged a complaint with Huda administrator Yashpal Yadav. We also met Naresh Pawar, superintending engineer (SE), Huda. and have demanded immediate action against the erring official.”
Irregular water supply has been a major issue for the city residents for the last four months.
“This act is unpardonable. We will not sit quietly if Huda does not disconnect the line. No water connections can be given to any person or institution from the master pipeline. Huda engineers executed the illegal connection in night, but we got to know through some sources,” said Kuldip Rana, president, Suncity RWA.
Pawar said, “We will probe the matter and initiate lawful action against the official concerned.”
