NGO, cops join hands to ensure women safety

Women Empowerment Safety Security Foundation (Wess), in association with Gurgaon police and Hindustan Times, has invited female volunteers to join a movement to ensure women’s safety and take part in self-defence training programmes in the city. HT reports.

Women Empowerment Safety Security Foundation (Wess), in association with Gurgaon police and Hindustan Times, has invited female volunteers to join a movement to ensure women’s safety and take part in self-defence training programmes in the city.

The organisation, which works towards imparting training in self-defence techniques to children and women, has plans to set up a group of women trainers across the city with the help of various residents’ groups.
