This was decided in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner D Suresh on Wednesday in which senior officials were present. The meeting was attended by the officials of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) including the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway project director Ashok Sharma.

During the meeting Gurgaon MLA Umesh Aggarwal raised various issues with national highway administration and also rejected their contention that jams were caused because of lack of an alternative road. Aggarwal also asked them to make proper arrangements for traffic management as work on three crucial underpasses would start in next couple of months, and managing vehicular movement would be a big challenge.

Divisional Commissioner D Suresh also shared his concern regarding the traffic situation. He was also told about various matters related to road infrastructure raised by different departments.

It was later decided that a team of officials lead by Gurgaon traffic police chief Y Puran Kumar would carry out an inspection of the expressway to find a solution to this problem.

Other officials who attended the meeting also include Road transport officer Jitender Kumar, MCG joint commissioner Vivek Kalia and sub divisional magistrate (city) Sushil Sarwan.
