Some major changes have been introduced in the office located inside the plant and entry to the office block has been separated from the shop-floor area. The office of the HR department, where the violence took place on July 18, has been shifted to an alternative location inside the factory. The stairs leading to the meeting room from the open area have been removed.

On Thursday, clerical staff and mechanics, including a few Japanese nationals, were seen inside the plant which was guarded by a heavy contingent of police force. A dozen police buses and nearly 500 personnel were deployed inside the premises. The management has reinstalled CCTV cameras and renovated the control room which was burnt during the violence.

The Maruti management has provided two big halls for police personnel inside the plant. Earlier, the police had requested the Haryana State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation (HSIIDC) to provide space for 500-men of the police contingent at IMT, Manesar.

However, during a meeting with the brass of the Haryana Police, including DGP RS Dalal, the Maruti management had stated that they would provide space for the police on the plant premises.

DGP Dalal had earlier announced to deploy the 4th Indian Reserve Battalion permanently at Manesar.
