SETC mandatory for computer operating cops

The Haryana police department has clarified that candidates willing to apply for the post of constables (computer operators) must qualify the state eligibility test in computer appreciation and application (SETC) conducted by the Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. (HARTRON).

The Haryana police department has clarified that candidates willing to apply for the post of constables (computer operators) must qualify the state eligibility test in computer appreciation and application (SETC) conducted by the Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. (HARTRON).

KK Sharma, inspector general of police, administration, said on Sunday that there would be no separate computer tests as mentioned in the advertisement inviting applications.

The SETC forms could be obtained from the HARTRON office at Chandigarh and Instruments Design Development and Facilities Centre, Ambala Cantt on a payment of Rs300. The form can also be downloaded from www.hartron.org and sent with a demand draft worth Rs300.
