Students all smiles as most Gurgaon schools achieve 100% results

Most schools in Gurgaon achieved 100 % pass percentage in the CBSE Class 10 exams, results for which were declared on Saturday afternoon.

Most schools in Gurgaon achieved 100% pass percentage in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 exams, results for which were declared on Saturday afternoon. The good results left students across the city happy. Many of them were seen celebrating their performances.

Once again, girls in the city put up a better performance than the boys. Pass percentage for girls is 96.36, compared to 96.11 for boys.

Girls outperformed boys in the CBSE Class 12 results as well. The results for the Class 12 exams were announced last Saturday.

Schools in the city said the number of students scoring 10 cumulative grade points average (CGPA) has gone up this year.

With almost all major CBSE schools achieving 100% pass percentage, principals were a happy lot. They said the good result is the hard work of the students and teachers.

Anshu Arora, principal of Amity International School, Sector 43, said the credit for the good performance of the students goes to the hard work put in by them.

“The school is very proud of the students of Class 10 and Class 12. Both, the students and teachers, worked very hard and we are extremely satisfied with the results,” said Arora.

Sunita Nagpal, principal of Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, said while preparing students for the exams, they focused more on subjects in which children scored lower marks last year. Nagpal said the new assessment method gives more scope for better performance.

Mahika Agarwal, a student of Delhi Public School, Sector 45, who scored CPGA10, said the key to scoring good marks is studying every day with full concentration.

Mahika said students often tend to ignore what is being taught in the school and rely on tuitions. But this is wrong, she said.

“It is not difficult to score the perfect score if students concentrate on what they study. Most of the time, we are distracted by our mobile phones or social media. This can affect concentration and affect results,” said Mahika.
