Rajesh Yadav and Manav Chandra, members of the board of directors, Pal Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, have been named in the FIR. The company’s office is in Sikanderpur, Gurgaon.

Police officials said the complainant, Shaurya Mehdidatta, based at Faridabad, had booked a flat for R9.46 lakh in one of the firm’s projects in 2007.

“As per the agreement, the builder had assured to deliver the flat in 2010. However, the builder did not do so nor did he return the money to the victim,” said the police.

The complaint was lodged after a Delhi-based buyer also framed similar charges against the duo.

The two FIRs were lodged on the insistence of the economic offences wing, which had been approached by the victims after the police ‘refused’ to take action. The police said nearly 50 cases of fraud had been lodged by the victims against the builder.
