Officials of the district administration on Sunday met the families of those still missing in the Uttarakhand floods and assured them of all possible help.
Around 18 persons from Gurgaon district are said to be missing — 15 from Pataudi and three from Wazirabad village.
Gurgaon deputy commissioner PC Meena on Sunday called a meeting of all officials and field functionaries, and directed them to meet the grief-stricken families of those missing in the wake of the tragedy.
The officials were directed to collect photographs of the missing persons and details like when they were last contacted by the family members.
"A pro forma was given to the officials deputed in rural areas to collect information about the missing persons. They will send a report to the deputy commissioner’s office so that the families can be helped in tracing their loved ones," said the district spokesperson.
Gurgaon North’s sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Satender Duhan met the families of the missing persons from Wazirabad village. Tara Devi, Duli Chand and Champa Devi from the village are missing in Uttarakhand.
"The Haryana government has set up relief and rescue control rooms in Uttarakhand and senior officers have been deputed there to help out the people in reaching their homes," said Duhan.
SDM (Pataudi) Manoj Khatri met families of the missing persons of Pataudi. Khatri collected photographs of all the missing persons and assured the families of all help.
