How much electricity is the DHBVN supplying these days? Has it increased supply keeping in mind the summer load?
This month, we have supplied around 180 MW- 200 MW daily and this is enough to cater to the city’s needs.

You claim there have been no power cuts this time but residents say the complete opposite. Why is there a contradiction?
As far as I know, there have been no scheduled power cuts. I cannot comment beyond. There may be minor snags but they don’t create a crisis-like situation.

DHBVN has failed to live up to its assurance of 24x7 power supply in Gurgaon. Is it due to power shortage?
No. I do not think there is short supply from the power plants and we have enough electricity to feed the city round-the-clock. Gurgaon is not reeling under frequent power cuts.

Why would residents give false claims regarding the power situation?
I mean there is no scheduled power cut which implies that we have not declared an official power cut time. The outages that consumers refer to may be because of local faults like short circuits, damaged electric wires, transformers etc.

If the discom is aware of local faults in infrastructure like wires and transformers why aren’t they repaired or upgraded?
We are working on a project worth R1 crore to replace old electric wires and transformers. Work is already underway and it would be completed by the end of the year.
