Women’s safety: Top cop meets BPO staff

As part of the safety awareness drive, the joint commissioner of police, Maheshwar Dayal, on Thursday shared a few tips with the women employees of a business processing outsourcing firm in the city.

As part of the safety awareness drive, the joint commissioner of police, Maheshwar Dayal, on Thursday shared a few tips with the women employees of a business processing outsourcing firm in the city.

The officer interacted with the staff of Keells BPO Solutions at DLF City Phase-3 and discussed various problems faced by them. A self-defence training and awareness session was also conducted for all the female staff of the organisation.

Emphasising on the need of women empowerment, Dayal assured that strict measures will be taken to reduce the incidents of crime against women in city. He also asked women to be prompt in registering FIR and call up the police helpline in case of an emergency.

Veena Gupta from the Seam Group conducted a workshop on self-defence and gave live demonstrations to explain how to tackle any attack. Some of the topics covered during the session included safety and protection techniques, prevent carjacking, kidnapping and physical intimidation, besides other situations.
