After chocolate, coffee, banana and other flavoured condoms, it’s aloe vera lubricated condoms for Indians. The aloe vera gel lubricated condoms produced by Convex Latex Pvt Ltd will soon be available in the Delhi Market.

Chetan Ghuwalewala, Director Convex Latex Pvt Ltd said, “This is the first time that aloe vera gel is being used as lubrication for condoms in India. We are using real aloe vera extract for lubrication instead of the regular silicon oil that is used as lubrication. It is a better lubricant as it has a cooling effect and it is not sticky.”

The condom is supposed to have all the benefits of aloe vera. Some of the benefits of condom lubricated with aloe vera is that it prevents sexually transmitted diseases like genital herpes, it enhances and restores the damaged skin, and for those looking for cosmetic properties — it’s debatable, but said to work as an anti-wrinkle treatment, as well. These condoms are also being labeled as environment friendly, as they are made using the extract of aloe vera that does not impart any hazard to the environment.

“Aloe vera is a natural product and is better as compared to other condoms, that don’t have a natural element as their base. I like this condom better than others,” says Shirish Namdev a 32 year old who was on of the participants in testing the condom.
