Don’t be surprised. Chronic fatigue and constant feeling of tiredness can be serious.
Feeling tired “Substantial decrease of activity, unexplained fatigue can be a sign of chronic fatigue syndrome, which is a disorder that usually occurs after a viral infection, but with poor lifestyle, more and more people are complaining of this (unexplained fatigue) problem. One must get haemoglobin and thyroid tests done, as any disbalance in them can also make you feel fatigued all the time,” says Dr Aseem Dewan, BLK Memorial Hospital.
“People should introduce lifestyle changes if they are experiencing tiredness, drowsiness all the time. There are three components to lifestyle changes: having a balanced diet; keeping a tab on late night parties where consumption of alcohol and the number of cigarettes we smoke, go unmonitored; and having a exercise regimen and sleeping on time. Incorporate these changes in your day-today lives, and you will feel positive change in your over-all health,” says Dr Naveen Talwar, Fortis Healthcare. Tap energy levels: * Nurture good sleep habits. * Practice stress management. Take out time to relax. * Exercise regularly. * Eat nutritious food. * Hepatitis can also be responsible for one’s deteriorating energy levels.
