The producers of the iconic Bond series finally made some official announcements regarding the upcoming 25th film in the franchise, tentatively titled Bond 25. While they did not reveal the official title just yet, the cast was finally confirmed after months of speculation.
Daniel Craig returns for his fifth outing as Bond and is joined by series regulars Naomi Harris, Ben Whishaw, Lea Seydoux and Ralph Fiennes. New faces joining him on the movie include Blade Runner 2049’s Ana De Armas, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch and Billy Magnussen. However, the biggest announcement is that Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek will join the new movie as the villain.
The live video announcement from Jamaica included a special and very creepy message from Rami who could not join the cast at the scenic location as he was shooting in New York. He said, “I promise you all, I will be making sure Mr Bond does not have an easy ride of it in Bond25.” Even Daniel agreed that the video was a little eerie.
The film will be directed by Cary Fukunaga of True Detective and Maniac. It is also reportedly Daniel’s last outing as Bond. Watch the full live video here:
