The biopic traces the life story of Duran, played by Edgar Ramirez, who grows up in the slums of Panama to become one of the top boxers in the world. Duran began fighting professionally at 16 and retired at 50. In 1980, he defeated Sugar Ray Leonard (played by Usher) to capture the WBC welterweight title.

He shocked the world during a rematch in November, when he returned to his corner and famously uttered the words “no mas” (no more), giving up the fight.
