Star Trek 3 to hit theatres in July 2016

Star Trek 3 has got its scheduled date and would beam into theaters on July 8, 2016.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Paramount Pictures, Bad Robot and Skydance Productions project would be helmed by Fast and Furious franchise director Justin Lin, who took over after Roberto Orci walked out in early December.
Lin has taken the helm from J.J. Abrams, who is busy working on Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.
2013's Star Trek: Into Darkness had grossed 467.4 million dollars worldwide while the first film in the rebooted Star Trek franchise had earned 385.7 million dollars in 2009.
