The first trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, starring Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis in this science fiction action film was released online December 12.

In this explosive sequel, the footage finds surviving members of the G.I. Joe team facing off against Zartan, last seen in G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, disguised as the United States President.

Based on Hasbro's toy line, the new team faces off against the villainous Cobra Commander, his accomplices Storm Shadow and Firefly, including in a sword-wielding fight on sheer rock on mountaintops.

To support the battle for earth from the enemy, a veteran soldier, played by Bruce Willis (Red), joins the fray.

Directed by Jon M. Chu (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, Step Up 3D), the sequel also stars Adrianne Palicki (Red Dawn) and Channing Tatum (Public Enemies) who returns from the first film from 2009.

The film opens June 20-22 in Norway, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and other locations, then on June 29 in North America, followed by July in Germany, France, Denmark and the Netherlands in August.
