The teaser of the much-awaited Star Trek sheds light on the magnitude of the destruction that awaits Earth, with the identity of the villain played by British actor Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) kept in the dark. VIDEO INSIDE
Some of the plotlines of the much-awaited upcoming Star Trek flick are teased in a minute-long video from Paramount Pictures.
The teaser sheds light on the magnitude of the destruction that awaits Earth in Star Trek Into Darkness, with the identity of the villain played by British actor Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) kept in the dark.
The teaser will be followed by a longer trailer that should hit the web on December 17.
Trekkies will be able to find out how the plot unravels when the film hits theaters in May 2013.
Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto reprise their respective roles as Captain Kirk and Spock.
