Rain played spoilsport as Australia and Bangladesh’s Group A match at The Oval in the ICC Champions Trophy was abandoned on Monday, denying Australia a likely win. Bangladesh had started out but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Only Tamim Iqbal managed a decent score of 95 before they were bowled out for 182. In reply, David Warner began well for Australia when the skies opened up. Australia had batted for only 16 overs and four more overs could have won them the match on the basis of Duckworth-Lewis System. Bangladesh will next play New Zealand on Friday while Australia will take on England on Saturday
