Ajay Singhal, Anil Kumar Rao from Haryana get President’s police medal
11 other police personnel were awarded police medal for meritorious service on the eve of Independence Day
Two senior police officers of Haryana were awarded President’s police medal for distinguished service and police medal for gallantry, while 11 other police personnel were awarded police medal for meritorious service on the eve of Independence Day.
A Haryana police department spokesperson said Ajay Singhal, additional director general of police (ADGP- state vigilance bureau) was awarded the President’s police medal for distinguished service. Similarly, Anil Kumar Rao, inspector general of police (IGP), has been awarded police medal for gallantry.
Police medal for meritorious service has been awarded to Alok Kumar Roy, ADGP (railways); Y Puran Kumar, deputy inspector general (DIG,CID); Kirat Pal Singh, superintendent of police (SVB, Ambala); Shakuntla Devi, deputy superintendent of police (DSP,Karnal); Hissam Singh (DSP- Panchkula); Rajpal Singh (inspector, Panchkula); Vijay Pal (inspector, Sunaria, Rohtak); Azad Singh ( inspector, Bhiwani); Umed Singh (sub-inspector, Hisar); Vinod Kumar (sub-inspector, Ambala) and Mohan Singh (assistant sub -inspector, Panchkula).
4 from Himachal get medal for distinguished services
Shimla: On the eve of Independence Day, inspector Ram Dev, posted in the state vigilance and anti-corruption bureau in Mandi, was conferred with the President’s police medal for distinguished services.
Three other police personnel — inspector general (IG) Himanshu Misra, sub-inspector Dharam Sen and head constable Devender Singh were conferred with police medal for meritorious services.
