CJP Delhi Protest Highlights: The INDIA bloc, led by Congress and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, met President Droupadi Murmu and submitted a four-point memorandum seeking Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. The memorandum also demanded the repeal of the 2023 law granting immunity to the CEC and Election Commissioners. The Opposition called for an immediate suspension of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the restoration of 13.30 crore voters it alleged had been illegally deleted. Its other demands included a return to paper ballots for all elections and the repeal of Assembly elections held over the last two years where it claimed conclusive evidence of “vote chori” had emerged.

Heavy security has been deployed across Delhi as protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar intensify, with authorities stepping up security arrangements in the national capital.

Apart from the Opposition, the Cockroach Janta Party is also preparing for its "Chalo Dilli" protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, which has resulted in widespread restrictions across the capital.
