J&K in crisis as politics was put over people: Kejriwal
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said the situation had got worse in Jammu and Kashmir in three years of the Bharatiya Janata Party and People’s Democratic Party government.
Jammu and Kashmir is in crisis because politics was put over people, said Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday, reacting after the state’s alliance government resigned.
Kejriwal said the situation had got worse in Jammu and Kashmir in three years of the Bharatiya Janata Party and People’s Democratic Party government.
“Three years lost in the valley, three years that saw huge civilian and army casualties, three years later the Valley is worse-off from where it stood then. This is what happens when you put politics over people. I will not allow Delhi to suffer because of the dirty politics of the Modi government,” said Kejriwal on Twitter.
“Didn’t BJP tell us that demonetisation had broken the back of terrorism in Kashmir? Then what happened?” he said separately. Kejriwal has alleged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government for IAS officers of the Delhi government allegedly striking work.
The BJP quit the ruling coalition in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday and called for federal control over the state, citing a deterioration in security.
