Kejriwal says inspired by Ram Rajya to serve people in Delhi. Lists 10 principles
"I am a devotee of Lord Ram and Hanuman. We have been following 10 principles, inspired by the concept of 'Ram Rajya', to serve people in Delhi," the chief minister said.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said the concept of "Ram Rajya" has inspired his government to serve the people in Delhi in the matters of education, healthcare, food availability among several others.
"I am a devotee of Lord Ram and Hanuman. We have been following 10 principles, inspired by the concept of 'Ram Rajya', to serve people in Delhi," the chief minister said. Kejriwal waas participating in a discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the LG's address during the Budget Session in Delhi Assembly.
The Delhi CM has also stated his government's initiative to send the elderly for 'darshan' to Ram temple in Ayodha once the construction is completed. The move will be covered under Delhi government's Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra yojna.
Stating the principles, Kejriwal said, "No one should sleep on an empty stomach in Delhi. Every child, irrespective of the social status, should get quality education"
"Everyone, be it rich or poor, should get the best possible medical treatment," Kejriwal said.

- No one should be hungry in Delhi and go to sleep on an empty stomach
- Every child, no matter how poor or rich, should get quality education
- Anybody, be it rich or poor, should get the best health and medical services and treatment.
- No matter the economical condition of a family, it should get access to electricity.
- Everyone should have universal access to water. "Nowadays water has become very expensive, but not in Delhi."
- Speaking about employment opportunities, Kejrwal said his government believes that every hand should get work and means to earn income.
- On housing, Kejriwal said every person should have a roof for a living.
- "Guaranteeing safety and security to women and ensuring no crimes takes place."
- Announcing the pilgrimage initiative to Ram temple in Ayodhya, Kejriwal stressed on respect for elders and said that a society that does not respect its elders cannot progress.
- Equality among people of all castes and religions should prevail.
