About four to five Shiv Sena workers on Monday vandalised the office of Independent MLA Vinod Agrawal in Gondia district after the leader voiced support for disgruntled MLA Eknath Shinde, who has been camping at a five-star hotel Assam's Guwahati along with his several other rebel lawmakers.

In a CCTV footage circulated online, a few Shiv Sena workers can be seen arriving at the location with sticks, arguing with the security guard and causing damage to whatever they could lay their eyes on.
Earlier in the day, Shiv Sena workers in the Hadapsar area of Pune took out a symbolic funeral procession and performed ‘last rites’ of the rebel MLAs at the Amar Dham crematorium.
Similar scenes were witnessed on Saturday when a few Shiv Sena workers vandalised an office of party MLA Tanaji Sawant, who is camping with the dissidents, led by Shinde.
A group of Sena workers were seen barging into the office of Bhairavnath Sugar Works – owned by Sawant – and ransacking the office located in the Katraj area.
A huge political crisis erupted in Maharashtra after more than two-thirds of the ruling party shifted their loyalty to Shinde. The Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance may soon lose the majority in the House with 38 of the 55 members of the Shiv Sena legislature party having withdrawn their support towards the leadership.
