"The new normal has five points. One, terrorists will not be treated as proxies. Two, Cross-border terrorism will get an appropriate response. Three, Terror and talks are not possible together. There will only be talks on terror. Four, Not yielding to nuclear blackmail. And finally, Terror and good neighbourliness cannot coexist. Blood and water cannot flow together. This is our position," said the EAM.

Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE: Amid the debate on Operation Sindoor, the opposition INDIA bloc has demanded clarity from the Central government regarding the ceasefire understanding between India and Pakistan.

US President Donald Trump has made several claims stating that he was responsible for the ceasefire and cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan. India and MEA have denied this claim, despite the US president's repeated statements.

“Our line is clear that the PM should take responsibility and answer who was responsible for the ceasefire. Should clarify the claims made by Trump 28 times. Who is responsible for the 26 deaths in Pahalgam?... In what conditions did we retreat?... A bullet and a ball cannot go together. The nation's sentiment is not in favour of cricket at the moment. The nation wants the PoK to be part of India's map... They are saying that the Operation Sindoor is still underway. Is the cricket the part of it?,” said Congress MP Pramod Tiwari

Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to address the Rajya Sabha today as the debate around Operation Sindoor continues.

As per ANI, the BJP leader is expected to speak at around 2 PM. On Monday, Singh led the debate in Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor and dove into the details of India's military operation which targeted terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

“We want the discussion to continue, but the government is working to stop the discussion. They were not answering questions; they were just beating around the bush. They should answer the questions of the Congress party,” Congress MP Manickam Tagore told news agency ANI

The Lok Sabha will resume its discussion on Operation Sindoor for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE: MPs from the opposotion INDIA bloc are set to stage a protest at the Makar Dwar of Parliament on Tuesday at 10:30 AM, ahead of the day's proceedings.

As per an ANI report, the government has agreed to the opposition's demand to take up the SIR matter in the Lok Sabha Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, signalling a possible floor debate.

However, the opposition continues to raise questions over transparency and the verification process in the ongoing SIR in Bihar.

"“Hai Preet jahaan ki reet sada, Main geet wahan ke gaata hoon, Bharat ka rehne waala hoon, Bharat ki baat sunata hoon," Tewari wrote on X.

Tewari, along with Tharoor, was part of the seven delegations sent to partner countries to spread India's message against terrorism and cross-border terrorism.

Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE: Congress Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala has moved a notice for Suspension of Business in the Upper House of the Parliament on Tuesday. With this notice, the MP has demanded a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Bihar.

Writing to the Secretary-General, Rajya Sabha, Surjewala, stated, "I hereby give notice under Rule 267 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) of my intention to move the following motion for the suspension of business listed for 29 July 2025."

"That this House suspend Zero Hour and the relevant rules pertaining to Question Hour and other businesses of the day to discuss the concerns arising out of the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar ahead of elections, as well as plans for a similar exercise in states such as West Bengal," Surjewala added.

Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE: Operation Mahadev was the name of a military operation carried out by Indian security forces on Monday.

In a significant counter-terrorism success, the Indian security forces on Monday killed three Pakistani terrorists during an encounter in the forested Lidwas area near Harwan, on the outskirts of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

The operation, codenamed Operation Mahadev, was launched following intelligence and technical surveillance pointing to terrorist movement in the region.

The deceased terrorists were said to have been affiliated with Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. Read more here
