The BJP rules 13 states on its own and in alliance and there are concerns about the state of the affairs in some of them.

Modi and Shah will give a talk to RS MPs on the importance of remaining connected to the ground, said BJP sources. As they don’t represent any parliamentary constituencies, the party wants them to be more “accountable” towards people.

“The entire exercise is to gear up the party and its leaders for electoral challenges and remind them of Modi’s message about delivery,” a BJP leader explained.
