Two-month ban on paragliding in Kangra

With the onset of monsoon, the Kangra tourism department has imposed a two-month ban on paragliding and aero-sports activities in the district.

District tourism and civil aviation officer, Sunaina Sharma, said that the decision has been taken under the Himachal Pradesh Aero Sports Rules of 2004 and amendment rules of 2008.

She said, ”The decision has been taken keeping in view the safety of people and to avoid any untoward incident.” The ban will be imposed from July 15 and will remain in effect till September 15.
