DMK president and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi was buried beside his mentor CN Annadurai on Marina beach in Chennai on Wednesday. Karunanidhi, 94, had passed away at Kauvery Hospital in the city on Tuesday evening. High drama followed his death as the AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu refused to allow his cremation at Marina beach in Chennai as demanded by DMK supporters. The Madras high court on Wednesday allowed Karunanidhi to be buried at Marina beach.Here are the live updates:
