Watch | Twitter flooded with reactions to earthquake tremors in Delhi

The tremors were felt for about 30 seconds at around 2.28 pm on Tuesday, and the epicentre was in Nepal, 148 kilometres east of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

After strong tremors were felt across Delhi NCR and some parts of north India as a result of the 5.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal, Twitter was flooded with reaction videos and comments. This time, as with previous instances of tremors, several memes were created and shared, and "#earthquake" was also trending on Twitter.

The tremors were felt for about 30 seconds at around 2.28 pm on Tuesday, and the epicentre was in Nepal, 148 kilometres east of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

One user posted a video of a ceiling fan shaking with the caption, "Strong earthquake in Delhi and surrounding areas."

"Though I felt the bed shake but to be sure I checked the chandelier," a user wrote sharing a video of a chandelier.

Some memes were also in reference to Delhi's pollution problem and the city's frequent earthquake tremors. A user shared a meme which read, "Running inside because of earthquake, running outside because of earthquake."

Another user shared a meme in which a person stands in the middle of two people shaking hands, one named pollution and the other earthquake, with the caption "Delhites rightnow."

The tremors on Tuesday come more than 20 days after the national capital region felt the same. On January 5, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 struck Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region. According to the National Centre for Seismology, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Delhi-NCR region on January 1.
