Belgian bakery-restaurant offers dishes created by chefs from branches across the world in a steal-deal offer to introduce new menu

Good food doesn’t always come cheap. And the moment you mention a 10-course meal, a satiated stomach and an empty wallet come to mind. But a city restaurant is breaking that cliché with a special affordable deal for food lovers. To introduce some new dishes on their menu, Le Pain Quotidien (LPQ) is offering a 10-course tasting meal to those interested in global cuisine. To top it all, both, non-vegetarian and vegetarian options will be served for all of R800 and R700 (exclusive of taxes) respectively.

The restaurant’s founder and head, Chef Alain Coumont, announced this dinner-only offer, saying, “This summer, me and my chefs from around the world, including India, spent time together at my organic farm in France (in Montpellier). We decided to offer a single meal, which serves several small portions, of 10 courses to allow our guests to try our creations.” Comprising appetisers, salads, main course and dessert options, the tasting menu can be experienced at the Belgian eatery’s Bandra Kurla Complex and Colaba outlets till December 13. Those who miss the deadline needn’t worry, as these dishes have also been added to the regular menu. “We have selected dishes that draw from our Belgian heritage and from the family of our kitchens around the world,” adds Coumont.
