3 killed, 17 injured in road accident

Three persons have been killed and 17 passengers injured when a roadways bus collided with a speeding truck, police said.

Three persons were on Thursday killed and 17 passengers injured when a roadways bus collided with a speeding truck, police said.

The accident took place near village Chhonk when the bus was going to Kanpur from Jhansi, they said.

The driver lost control over the vehicle killing three persons on the spot, they added.

The injured were shifted to hospital, they said, adding that the condition of five was stated to be critical.

Senior officials of the district administration and local MLA Chhote Singh have reached the spot, they said.
