7 selected for Gurukul SPICMACAY scholarships

SEVEN BRIGHT students were selected for this year?s SPICMACAY Scholarship here today. The interviews for the scholarship were conducted at Avritti Bhawan of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya. Tshering Dorji, student of architecture and Anand Patle, student of engineering have been selected for the Dalai Lama Monastry at Dharmshala.

SEVEN BRIGHT students were selected for this year’s SPICMACAY Scholarship here today. The interviews for the scholarship were conducted at Avritti Bhawan of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya. Tshering Dorji, student of architecture and Anand Patle, student of engineering have been selected for the Dalai Lama Monastry at Dharmshala.

Ruchi Mudaliar, student of Psychology and Himanshu Thakur have been selected to go to Ustad Fariduddin Dagar at Mumbai. Pooja Sarode, Class X student of Model School and Ratnesh Sahu have been selected to join theatre maestro Habib Tanveer at Bhopal.

Pranjal Vishwakarma, student of engineering at Indore has been selected to go to Ramashey Jha at Allahabad. The jury included of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya, Bhopal Museum Curator Vikas Bhatt as the expert, SPICMACAY National Executive Prof Savita Raje, and writer Ashok Jamnani.

The SPICMACAY Scholarship scheme aims at exposing students to the uniqueness of the ancient Guru Shishya Parampara. The scholarship helps students stay for a month with persons (Gurus), who have dedicated their lives to arts or social causes. Living with them could start off a journey of discovery for students and help them get a direction in life.
